Jesus Christ, who is the creator and sustainer and earth, the one who would enter into our world and radically change it. That Jesus chose to start his ministry by recruiting 4 fishermen? It seems like an odd start, right? But what we should glean is that God can and often chooses to work through the ordinary, unexpected and humble things.
This should encourage us that God wants to do the same among us! This text shows us that all it takes is ordinary people with the audacity and faith to follow Jesus.
